ABMED – Brazilian Academy of Medicine and Technology, an institute of Faculdade Península, in partnership with the Pontifical Catholic University of Goiás (PUC-GO), offers a cutting-edge postgraduate programme that empowers physicians to apply evidence-based lifestyle interventions to prevent and reverse chronic diseases, promote health, and improve quality of life.

Taught in Portuguese and delivered through a comprehensive online learning experience, the programme blends science and clinical practice to develop both solid academic knowledge and practical skills. Participants learn from a multidisciplinary faculty, combining behaviour change science with a human-centred approach to healthcare.

Grounded in the eight pillars of Lifestyle Medicine, which include nutrition, physical activity, restorative sleep, stress management, healthy relationships, avoidance of risky substances, sexual health and environmental health, the programme includes dedicated modules on each pillar and further explores areas such as behavioural change, social connections and team management, epidemiology, research methods and evidence appraisal, preventive cardiology, value-based healthcare (VBHC), and the integration of lifestyle strategies into clinical practice.

Graduates receive an official post-graduate degree authorized by the Brazilian Ministry of Education and auspices by European Lifestyle Medicine Organization (ELMO), reflecting the commitment of ABMED and PUC-GO to advancing Lifestyle Medicine education in collaboration with the European Lifestyle Medicine Organization (ELMO).
