We are excited to announce ELMO’s new country representative in Bulgaria, Dr. Mariya Ratkova.

About Dr. Mariya Ratkova

Mariya Ratkova, MD, MPH is a board-certified dermatologist with strong interdisciplinary background bridging dermatology, public health, and lifestyle medicine. She graduated with a Master’s degree in Medicine from the Medical University of Sofia. In addition, she holds a Master’s degree in Public Health, which has shaped her holistic and prevention-oriented approach to patient care.

Dr. Ratkova has extensive experience in both clinical dermatology and clinical trials as principal investigator in leading medical and aesthetic clinics in Bulgaria. She is a co-founder of a multidisciplinary dermatology and aesthetics center. Her professional interests include dermatologic surgery, inflammatory skin diseases and therapeutic innovations with a growing focus on the role of lifestyle factors in skin health and chronic disease prevention.

Through her clinical work, Dr. Ratkova integrates evidence-based medical treatments with lifestyle interventions recognizing the skin as a mirror of overall health.

She is fluent in English and has working proficiency in German and Italian.
