Workshop: Managing Obesity through Lifestyle Interventions, 25th March 2026 at 19:00 CET

Obesity is undoubtedly a lifestyle-related disease and is a serious problem in our time, which is reaching epidemic proportions.

Join Dr. Arkadianos, with over 30 years of clinical experience with obese patients, for a 1.5-hour interactive live Zoom workshop on effective obesity management.

You’ll learn

• How to approach the obese patient during the first visit to the Physician’s Practice/Clinic and the diagnostic steps that should be followed.
• The therapeutic treatment methods proposed and based on interventions on the patient’s lifestyle will be presented.
• Interesting clinical cases from the Clinic of Dr. Arkadianos will be presented, and the participants will discuss the specificity of each clinical case.

To whom the workshop is addressed

This workshop is addressed to medical doctors, health practitioners, students, and anyone with an interest in lifestyle medicine and the specific topic of the workshop.

Dr. Ioannis Arkadianos is the President and co-founder at the “European Lifestyle Medicine Organization (ELMO)”. He graduated from Athens University Medical School. He is certified in General Medicine with extra Post Graduate studies in Obesity, Nutrition and Nutrigenomics. He holds the SCOPE Certification (Strategic Centre for Obesity Professional Education) from “World Obesity Federation” (WOF) since 2011. He is a pioneer Medical Doctor of Lifestyle Medicine in Europe, having practiced in this field for the last 30 years and was the President of the Organizing Committee of the five European Lifestyle Medicine Congresses organized by ELMO (2018-2023). He is Faculty Lecturer in MSc programs of Greek Universities (Medical School of Athens University, Thessaly University) and has lectured to students at universities worldwide as an invited speaker. He is instructor in the “European Certificate in Lifestyle Medicine : Health and Fitness Lifestyle Advisor” organized by the European Lifestyle Medicine Organization (ELMO). From April 2015 he is a Council Member of the “True Health Initiative”, a global coalition of experts from over 50 countries, united to combat misinformation and disinformation that impact public, personal, and planetary health. He has participated as speaker and also chairing and coordinating presentations in many international and Greek scientific Congresses. His medical practice is in Athens, Greece. • No refunds will be given in case of cancellation, due to the limited number of participants.
• Participants must log in no later than 5 minutes before the session begins, using their full name and the unique identification number that will be sent to them.
• It is recommended to keep the camera turned on during the session to support better interactivity.
• There will be no reccordings available as this is an interactive workshop that requres active participation of the participants.
• After the Workshop, participants will be required to complete a short test consisting of 5 multiple-choice questions, with 10 minutes to complete it.
• A minimum score of 60% (3 out of 5 correct answers) is required to receive a certificate of successful participation.
